Reaching audiences nationally through the radio and television airwaves and in print, David Magee is the author of 12 non-fiction books and host of the syndicated radio and television business talk program, The David Magee Show. He also writes a featured newspaper column. Magee’s top-selling books include Turnaround: How Carlos Ghosn Rescued Nissan (HarperCollins), which has sold 100,000 copies worldwide and was called “a provocative case study” by Harvard Business Review; Jeff Immelt and the New GE Way (McGraw-Hill); Endurance: Winning Life’s Majors The Phil Mickelson Way (Wiley); Playing to Win: Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys (Triumph); The John Deere Way (Wiley), and How Toyota Became #1 (Penguin Putnam), named a Top 10 Business Book of the Year in 2008 by Booklist. A frequent national media guest on leading business programs, Magee began his media career at a commercial radio station at the age of 18 and became a newspaper news editor at the age of 25. He began writing books in 2002 and has since made more than 200 media appearances, including NPR, Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox Business The Wall Street Journal and Businessweek.com. He launched The David Magee Show on The Business Talk Radio Network in 2009 and the show began airing in simulcast on the Biz Television Network in early 2010.

Sean “The Newsman” Phipps is the co-host and producer of the David Magee Show. He is also responsible for keeping David Magee on task, which is no easy feat as I’m sure listeners are aware.  Sean’s background in media includes work in TV (WKPT), Radio (WUTC-FM 88.1), and the newspaper industry (Chattanooga Times Free Press). He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and studied Mass Communications and English.  Aside from his work in media, Sean is a consummate guitarist and lover of literature, specifically the postmodernists. He also enjoys cooking and following auto racing. Oh, and of course business. Sean Loves business.
